
The Basic Life Support (BLS) Course
Course Description
The BLS course is tailored for current or prospective healthcare personnel in pre-hospital, in-facility, or in-hospital settings, as well as for individuals seeking healthcare professional education or internship.
Initial and Renewal courses are offered.
AHA electronic certifications (e-cards) are provided.
The goal of the BLS course is to train students to save the lives of victims of cardiac arrest through high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED performance. Students will learn and practice the BLS skills and rescue techniques for adults, children, and infants that apply to any healthcare setting. The skills learned will enable students to: recognize cardiac arrest, activate the emergency response system early, and respond quickly and confidently.
